Misfit Mommy

I am a mother to three girls, Elise (7), Ariana (5), and one more TBA in January 2013. I am a wife to an amazing husband, a creative arts director at a local church, and importantly, a follower of Jesus.

I decided to start this blog because I've always felt a little off-beat in the "mommy world". I don't drive a new van. I don't go to gymboree. I never intend to attend PTA or an HOA meeting. I have tattoos. Well, the list goes on. I love all of the different kinds of moms in the world, but I wanted a space where it's okay to be a little bit quirky and still be a great mom.

I think that many of us feel a little out of place in mommyhood from time to time and that's okay. This is meant to encourage all moms to do their own thing and just be who they are because that's what makes us the best moms for our kids :)
