Okay so making french toast isn't exactly rocket science. It's one of the easiest breakfast foods to make really. However, making really good french toast takes a little more effort. This is one of my favorite things to eat in the whole world so I have dedicated more time than I probably should have to finding just the right recipe.
Here's What You Need
Challah Bread (it's a braided Jewish bread sometimes called egg bread)
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups of milk
2 tbs cinnamon
1 tbs vanilla
A Stick of Butter
Step 1: Heat up your skillet to medium heat. I prefer a skillet to a griddle. If you have a cast iron that's even better.
Step 2: Cut your bread into thick slices. I make mine about an inch or so.
Step 3: Whisk together your eggs and milk then add in you vanilla and then the cinnamon
Step 4: Butter up your skillet. Then dip each side of your bread in your mixture and pop it in your skillet.
Step 5: Cook it on each side for 2-3 minutes or until golden.
Step 6: Now smother it in maple syrup and enjoy!
